This document is not archived, is concluded exclusively in electronic form, and does not constitute a written contract. No code of conduct applies.

This English version of the Terms and Conditions is for informational purposes only, as the webshop and the offered digital products and services are available for purchase exclusively to Hungarian citizens. In case of any discrepancies or legal interpretation, the Hungarian version shall prevail.

2. Governing Law and Scope

Any matters not regulated in this document, as well as the interpretation of these T&C, shall be governed by Hungarian law, with special regard to:

  • Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code;

  • Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce and information society services;

  • Act CLV of 1997 on consumer protection;

  • Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.) on contracts concluded between consumers and businesses. The mandatory provisions of the applicable legislation shall apply to the parties without any specific stipulation.

These T&C apply to the consultancy services related to travel counseling and the sale of downloadable digital travel guides provided via the Service Provider's website (hereinafter: Website). The contract between the Customer and the Service Provider is concluded electronically upon the submission of the order and its confirmation by the Service Provider.

3. Description of Services

The Service Provider offers travel consulting, individual or group consultations, and downloadable digital travel guides. Digital products are delivered electronically (e.g., via download link), and consultations are provided online at a pre-arranged time. These T&C apply to all services and digital products offered by the Service Provider.

4. Ordering and Contract Formation

4.1. Formation of the contract
An order placed through the webshop qualifies as a contract concluded electronically, under the terms and conditions set out in these T&C.

4.2. Ordering process
The Customer selects the desired product or service via the Website and pays through the Stripe payment system. This may be full payment or, in the case of certain services, an advance payment, with the remaining amount paid via bank transfer after the service has been provided. An electronic invoice is issued via the Billingo platform and sent to the Customer's email address. The Customer is responsible for providing accurate information. The Service Provider is not liable for any issues resulting from inaccurate data.

4.3. Fulfilment
Details regarding the service or digital product, including content, method of use, location, price, payment method, and further information, are available at: https://www.bucketlister.org/services-6 and https://www.bucketlister.org/book-online.

Persons under the age of 18 are not eligible to use the travel consulting service.

Fulfilment is exclusively online and in digital form. The contract becomes effective upon confirmation by the Service Provider. No separate written contract is concluded; the electronic notifications, confirmations, and these T&C together constitute the contractual documentation.

5. Payment Terms

Prices are shown in gross amounts in Hungarian Forints (HUF). The webshop owner is exempt from VAT (subject to the small business tax regime). Payment is made in one or two instalments, depending on the type of service or product, which is clearly stated on the product or service page. Prices do not include any additional costs beyond the Service, such as airfare, accommodation, transfers, car rental, entrance tickets, optional programs, or mandatory surcharges like visa fees, taxes, and charges. These are paid by the Customer.

Online payments (full or advance) are made via Stripe. The remaining amount is paid by bank transfer after the service is delivered, within the period stated on the invoice.

Details of the payment are included in the confirmation and/or invoice.

6. Defective or Failed Performance

The Service Provider performs defectively if the service or digital product is not delivered as agreed in the contract.

In the case of defective performance, the Customer may request correction or repeat performance unless it would incur disproportionate extra costs for the Service Provider. If correction or replacement is not possible or unacceptable for the Customer, a proportional price reduction or, in the case of serious defect, cancellation of the contract is possible.

If the Service Provider does not fulfil the order (e.g., does not show up at the agreed time or fails to deliver the product), the Customer may choose between insisting on performance or withdrawing from the contract. In the event of withdrawal, the Service Provider must refund the full amount paid by the Customer.

The Service Provider strives to resolve any complaints or issues amicably and promptly.

7. Right of Withdrawal

For digital products (e.g., travel guides): The consumer forfeits the 14-day right of withdrawal once they expressly consent to the start of performance and acknowledge that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.

For consultation services: The consumer may cancel the service free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of the advance payment.

8. Complaints

Email: bucketlister.org@gmail.com
Consumers may also submit complaints to the competent Conciliation Board. The list and contact details of Conciliation Boards are available at https://bekeltetes.hu. The competent board for the Service Provider's registered seat is: Hajdú-Bihar County Conciliation Board (4025 Debrecen, Petőfi tér 10.)

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service Provider informs the Customer that the information and advice provided as part of the travel consultancy and digital travel guide services do not constitute legal or travel agency obligations. Such advice may relate to third-party services (e.g., airlines, accommodation providers, travel agencies, local tour operators). These are used at the Customer's own discretion and responsibility. The Service Provider is not responsible for the performance, quality, failure, or delays of third-party services, or for any inconvenience or damage arising from their use.

9.1. Force Majeure
The Service Provider is not liable for any damage or non-performance caused by unforeseeable, unavoidable external circumstances beyond its control (force majeure). Such events include but are not limited to: natural disasters, war, epidemics, strikes, transport restrictions, or the failure of third-party service providers.

In the case of force majeure, the Service Provider may suspend performance or withdraw from the contract without liability.

10. Data Protection

The Service Provider handles personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Details are available in the separate Privacy Policy.

11. Copyright Protection

The entire content, structure, layout, graphics, descriptions, and informational materials of this Website are protected under Act LXXVI of 1999 on copyright. The Website, as an original creation, is the intellectual property of the Service Provider and may not be copied, imitated, or reused in whole or in part without prior written permission.

Unauthorized use may result in legal consequences, including civil and, where applicable, criminal liability.

The Service Provider continuously monitors the use of the Website’s content and may take legal action in the event of unauthorized reproduction or imitation.

12. Final Provisions

These Terms and Conditions are continuously available on the Website and are effective from 13 April 2025. The Service Provider reserves the right to unilaterally amend the T&C at any time. The version in effect at the time of ordering shall apply to each order, so please review them carefully before each purchase.
